Who is Chez Reavie? He is the freshest PGA Tour winner, that's who! While not even playing on the PGA Tour last year, he took advantage of Anthony Kim's last round 75 who he was paired with and shoots a 1 under 70 for a three shot victory over Billy Mayfair to win the Canadian national championship in 2008.
Chez Reavie played well all through 4 rounds, posting a 17-under 267 and earned $900,000. He also wins a spot to play in the upcoming World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational and PGA Championship.
Mike Weir, who we've talked about finished tied for fourth. Maybe the pressure really got to him, saying "It has been exhausting"
Anthony Kim was only one stroke back starting the day, but he was just trying too hard. He never had problems off the tee, but his approaches were questionable. On the back 9, he just keep mishitting shots and was scrambling everywhere. He just wasn't performing like he could.
Chez Reavie got off to a really slow start when he bogeyed the first and third hole. He birdied the fourth which turned his game around and gave himself a few shot cushion.
In the middle of the round, he made a 9-foot birdie putt on the par-4 ninth and made another long bomber, a 30-foot birdie putt on the tenth. At that point, he had a 3 shot lead for 7 holes to go.
Chez Reavie's win was sweet, as he ended with an exclamation mark when he made a 12-foot birdie putt on the par-5 18th.
Who knows whether he will have another win on the PGA Tour, but now we know who he is.

Chez Reavie doesn’t have a power game which is refreshing! I wish that there’s a way to allow everyone to use their head instead of their muscles in the modern game!
Who? Chez who?
I’m glad there are new faces. That Anthony guy (although he choked) is really good. He is up there competing every week it seems like.
Not exactly bad on the eyes, either! (Sorry, couldn’t help it.)
Thank You
