Vijay Singh Wins the Fedex Cup 2008
No more excitement for the Fedex Cup playoffs this year because we already knew who the winner was 3 weeks before it ends!
With the way the points are calculated. Vijay Singh will be the winner for this year's playoff with his two wins out of the four events. I'm sure they would retool the point system for next year but it would be nice to actually cheer for the potential winner all the way to the 18th hole on the final day of play!
What I propose is this:
Have the same point system to preserve the volatility. Then after the tour championship, have a 1 day 18-hole playoff with the four players at the top of the point list!
This way, any of the top four players could win and there will definitely not be anyone that can win the playoff after only 3 tournaments!
