San Clemente Golf Club
San Clemente Golf Club definitely deserves the title Pride of the Pacific as it is on an amazing piece of property. With many of the holes facing the ocean, it is one of the pretty courses of Orange County.
It is quite surprising to see such a beautiful municipal golf course to be honest but it is nonetheless a gem. I'm glad I found this course and I will be going back more and more in the future.

Club House
When I first arrived at the golf course, I couldn't believe that this was a club house of a municipal golf course. I was amazed at how nice and new the structure is. It was simply amazing and it certainly gives a great first impression when you drive up for the first time.
Driving Range
Unfortunately, the driving range does not provide an option to hit off grass. At least it's a nice area and the mats aren't worn out like some other driving ranges.
As you can see up top, the view is wide open which is a seldom talked about but important aspect of a driving range. The last I like is to hit the ball and have it hit the fence at the back because I can't really tell the distances nor the correct trajectory and spin of my shot!
Practice Area
At first, I thought that the practice chipping and pitching green being on the other side of the parking lot is awkward but then it does seem better than it being close to the first green because it will create too much traffic.
The area itself is rather nice though with a couple flags and a bunker area for you to practice with. When we were there, it was rather crowded so it is well used!

I’m playing there this weekend
I love this course!
This is indeed a great golf course at an affordable price. I live in San Clemente so I also have the residence card. With that, the price is amazingly cheap. I end up being lazy and just ride but many people walk and the price is just unbeatable. I think it’s like $20 or something like that.
I wish I could play this weekend like Calvin too but unfortunately I am going to be out of country.
Wow everyone’s played there since I have also!!! I love the course, it’s got ocean views and also pretty flat (at least the front 9). The putts are tricky but it’s not hard at all once you get used how the golf ball breaks as it’s by the ocean.
I have played there, very nice. Country Club in Carlsbad is great as well.
