I'm playing tomorrow and sometimes I find myself being restless.  While I play golf quite a bit, I still get nervous once in a while about my game the next day.  Will I play well?  What about my iron game?  Is my putting stroke going to act up?  The thoughts just race through my mind again and again.

Sometimes, it gets so bad that I try to rest as much as I can.  I would even tell my wife that I can't go out the day before and I definitely don't want to be doing any housework beforehand!

I know this is crazy but I wonder if I'm alone.  Do any of you do something like this?  Are you obsessed with your golf game like me?

  1. I too am completely obsessed with golf. I know the anxious feeling the night before a big round. I’ll take a sedative and go to bed early just to make sure I’m rested. My wife gets so mad at me because even if we have guests over, I’ll bail on them and go to bed.

I always have golf on my mind. When I’m not playing golf the next day, I’ll stay up late playing TW PGA Tour on Xbox Live. I almost always hit balls on my lunch break and sneak in a quick 9 whenever I can get away with it. I’m also guilty of leaving work early to play. If things don’t go my way and I can’t play, I start having withdrawals, I get real irritable. Its not unlike any other addiction.

So your not alone…I too, am a golfaholic.
